Trains: Railfest Excursions

Thanks to a really good friend of mine, I was sick as a dog during this year’s Lackawanna Railfest at Steamtown in Scranton. For some reason that I am unable to remember, I wasn’t able to attend the festival on Saturday, but wound up going Sunday instead, followed by returning to school right afterward. This year marked the final year for CN 3254 as I believe the locomotive is going to be sidelined for a while to have some work done, with operations being taken over by NKP GP9 514 and the Lackawanna F3s, which are pictured here leading the Scranton Limited excursion passed the waiting to depart Moscow excursion on a predominantly cloudy Sunday. The sun poked out for a few moments in order for me to get this shot, but then disappeared and rain began falling.
